Truth is Like a Trillium

Truth is like a trillium
that blossoms in the spring.
It dances with the waking trees
and stirs the birds to sing.

Through winter, it lay dormant,
beneath the snowy ground.
Then with the warmth of springtime,
it stretched its roots around.

It grew within the sunshine,
first budding after years.
The plant designed by Trinity
took time to match its peers.

And there it stands a-shining—
a pure, revealing face!
The woodland floor, once bumpy bare,
now shimmers full of grace!

Truth is like a trillium.
O may my faith grow strong!
For with it, I am known and free
to live forever long.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32

TRUTH IS LIKE A TRILLIUM

that blossoms in the spring. That's because:

He that is of God heareth God’s words.
John 8:47a

Have faith in God and He will reveal truth to you. We can know truth. We can't really know truth without God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,
the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.
John 14:6

But by me. Jesus is the truth. No one goes to God without first believing in Jesus, God’s Son. But by me. Strong words from our Creator who took the human form He created. He even let Himself be born. But by me. These are the words religions not based on Christ abhor. These are the words arrogant, silly people fight against with their own ways, truths and life philosophies.

Christians are the ones who have decided the statement Jesus Christ made of Himself in John 14:6 is true. The Creator makes the rules for His creation. He is the book designer. He is the road-pavement maker, etc. etc. We all must decide how we will respond to the claim of Jesus. I trust you have chosen wisely.

Trilliums take years to bloom for the first time. Some species of trillium are considered endangered. The red trilliums here in Veery Glade bloom before the white ones. Then, there are many white ones scattered over the woodland floor. They out-number the red ones. We are fortunate to have both kinds of trilliums in our woods. May you see and know the truth as evident as a trillium.

I hope you will be praying on Thursday May 7th, the National Day of Prayer. And every day, as usual. Pray for an end to the coronavirus. Pray for loved ones. Pray for whatever is heavy on your heart.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Isn’t it great that God keeps His promises? We need to keep the faith, walk in our integrity and fret not. We get knocked down. But, God can pick us up again as He has done before. We sometimes walk through mud, deal with stuff that God has allowed, get worn down and even depleted. But through the power of prayer, God delivers, changes things, renews and restores.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

When struggling along, remember God is real and really answers prayer from believing hearts. He is able to grant requests. Our faces reflect our heart. When down and sad, so we look. But God can take a broken heart and restore it to a merry one with a cheerful countenance through prayer. It’s how to survive.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 37:7-9

I am praying that I will have better patience.
