THE SAPLING'S STAR

For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Here in my neck of the woods, I know God, way up above the stars and the Creator of stars, loves us. He wonderfully orchestrated the giving of His most precious gift—His Son, Jesus Christ. He carefully planned it over time.
May you bask in the warm light of God's gift of love and salvation.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.
Micah 5:2

Today's poem is based on the Micah verse. When walking through majestic woods, it's easy to overlook saplings. But in time, many of them will be as mighty as their parents.
And what of the One who created the trees in the beginning? What of the Being who breathed into Adam's nostrils the breath of life? Who is this Presence who sent the Bethlehem Star?
He is the one who gives to us a child—a Savior, His Son.

The Son is the radiance of God's glory
and the exact representation of his being,
sustaining all things by his powerful word.
Hebrews 1: 3a

Pray for your loved one's salvation. Pray for softened hearts. Pray for your children to have God's wisdom. Pray that they would have a hunger and thirst for God's righteousness. Pray. If God can watch a sapling grow in a thick forest, He can hear your petition. If Jesus, having been born in little Bethlehem can sustain all things, He can listen to your request. And He doesn't miss your praise either.

Merry Christmas to you!
May your prayer life grow in wisdom, power, love and hope.
