BLACKBERRIES

Blackberries ripen, full and sweet,
to make for me an August treat.
Their goodness calls me, “Come and dine!”,
so up I climb to make them mine.

Safe underneath the ash and beech,
the berries grow within my reach.
I pluck them quickly for my pail
and eat my fill along the trail.

Blackberries splendid, good and free,
are like the graces given me.
God’s fruit is for the picking ones,
and with it, love and mercy comes.

O taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalm 34:8

BLACKBERRIES

God's fruit is for the picking ones.
Have you tried a menagerie of things? Well, why not try prayer?

And when he was come into the house,
the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith
unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this?
They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Matthew 9:28

Jesus healed the blind men. They gained their sight. Faith is needed when praying. God is able to do what we ask and more. If you don't believe He is, then why continue praying?

And shall not God avenge his own elect,
which cry day and night unto him,
though he bear long with them?
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh,
shall he find faith on the earth?
Luke 18:7-8

It's up to our generation now. Decide to believe in prayer. Decide that you can come into the presence of Almighty God. Enter in. Commit to prayer. Taste and see that the LORD is good. Join with others in a prayer commitment. Where two or more are gathered, there Christ is in the midst. He is there, too, in the private room. We can pray anywhere, anytime and anyplace.

Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy
to come unto thee: but say in a word,
and my servant shall be healed.
Luke 7:7

Jesus remarked about the faith of the centurion. Pray with such faith. Let us trust the Maker of Jupiter, Mars and all the stars. Let us talk with our Creator. Taste and see that the LORD is good. God's fruit is for the picking ones. Say the word! Get to pickin!

Prayer request.

What is your request?

What are our joys?

Lift them in prayer.

After you've entered in and made requests known, trust God for His answer and timing. Faith is needed when waiting for His reply. Those that wait upon the LORD shall renew their wings, restore their strength, replenish their supplies, gain a right spirit, fill a deep pail and be co-heirs with Christ.

May God fill your pail and give all you need along the trail of your life.

But thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
Nehemiah 9:17b

Pray every day to the God of kindness.
