THE LONG SKIP HOME is a Christian upper middle grade fantasy debut novel written and illustrated by Lisa Belknap. Discouraged from school, the world, and her own mistakes, twelve-year-old Lily Lightfoot retreats to the woods in search of help to obey one of God’s difficult commands–to love enemies. In the thick woodland realm, a mysterious lamb appears after Lily prays. He leads the way into an enchanted world where an angellike woman adorned with butterflies introduces Lily to nine wise friends.
