WOODLAND PRAISE
It is high noon and the sunshine pours
on the pine trees standing stately,
raising gateways and old ancient doors
as the woodland sings whom it adores—
everlasting praises greatly.
In the grove, there is magnificence,
the most highest name exalting;
glory, admiration, one can sense,
even stones cry out the difference—
everlasting King extolling.
On the frost beneath my grateful feet,
in cathedrals, high and lofty,
I will thank my Savior there I meet,
who sits upon the right hand seat—
everlasting love graciously.
In old stalwart groves, by icy streams,
through creation that is honoring,
magnifying Christ who rightly deems
from the woodlands to the sea that teems--
everlasting kingdom revering.
By him therefore let us offer
the sacrifice of praise to God continually,
that is, the fruit of our lips
giving thanks to his name.
But to do good and to communicate forget not:
for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Hebrews 13:15-16
WOODLAND PRAISE
Heaven. Scripture tells us that, in the twinkling of an eye, we, brethren, will be raised immortal and incorruptible.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:50-52
And scripture declares that Jesus Christ is the only one with the words of eternal life. It is by Him that reconciliation to God is made.
Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?" But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."
John 6:67-69
My dear forest dweller, isn't hope sweet? Beyond this present life of both joys and sufferings awaits a glorious future to come for followers of the Son of God! The place for us is being prepared by Jesus Himself. There will be restoration, a return to the Garden of Eden, a paradise, the only paradise. There is coming a full revealing where we will see clearly and face to face and not as if looking through a dark glass, our risen Lord and fulfilled promises. Creation no longer will groan for what it has been groaning for for so long.
Thanksgiving. This annual event rooted in American history is also a special time for the Christian, and one celebrated every day. With sights set on the future in Heaven, the believer experiences a daily thanksgiving because of the sacrifice, atonement, and resurrection of Christ.
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Hebrews 13:15
Repentance of sin. Repentance is acknowledging our sin problem. It is owning up to the fact that we all fall short of the glory of God and need His remedy for our sin problem. We need to come to repentance.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 2:5
Jesus loves us so much that He bore our guilt and shame on the cross-- the shame of using His name perversely, the shame of indecency, the guilt of irreverence. Jesus loves us so much that He died for our sins. He that had no sin became sin for us. He who was not cursed became cursed for us. This is amazing love to redeem us back. Through the power of the resurrection on the third day, we of faith have a living hope to be raised immortal, incorruptible, and victorious at the trumpet blast!
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."
Mark 1:15
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I pray you thoroughly enjoy thanksgiving each day because of what Jesus has done on the cross. And from your prayer to repent.
