THE TREES OF THE FIELD

The colors of life are in the fall
where God’s bright truths are shown to all.
The trees of the field clap their hands
and spread God’s love throughout the lands.

The warmest brown leaves tell it straight,
“All have sinned and tend to hate.”
Red shiny leaves sing of love
that comes from God who reigns above.

Brightest orange leaves make all see:
“Christ bore all iniquity.”
And pure yellow leaves give a smile
to be with Him in just a while.

The colors of fall are rich to see
the Painter of Eternity.
The trees of the field, forever true,
display God’s love for me and you.

For ye shall go out with joy,
and be led forth with peace:
the mountains and the hills
shall break forth before you into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:12

THE TREES OF THE FIELD

The vibrant colors of sugar maples circle Veery Glade. Red and orange leaves fall like snow. God holds the earth in place with laws of gravity, properties, rotation, and seasons. The divine qualities of God are plainly seen in what has been made here in Veery Glade and anywhere else we look on this created globe.

A man once said, ‘No way could a God make all the intricacies of plants and animals and the scope of outer space. That’s way too much for only one being to do.’ Ouch! Is he and other people like him ever in for a rude awakening.

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me.
And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks
one like unto the Son of man,
clothed with a garment down to the foot,
and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
His head and his hairs were white like wool,
as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
And his feet like unto fine brass,
as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as
the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand
seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp
twoedged sword: and his countenance was as
the sun shineth in his strength.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.
And he laid his right hand upon me,
saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and
the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead;
and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen;
and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 1: 12-18

Vividly, we read Jesus holds the keys to Hell. One would think the inhabitant of a particular place would obtain the key. But Satan has been stripped and knows his ultimate destruction is coming. He is always trying to take down as much of God’s creation with him on his way out.

Vividly, we read Jesus holds the keys of death too. In order to hold the keys of death, one must have conquered death. We know Jesus was raised from the dead three days after He willingly went to the cross for us.

The evil one will never be able to conquer death because it is already written by the Living God that Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night forever.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:10

Children of the devil go there with him. Some people think everyone goes to Heaven. They don’t know what it means to be saved—that there is a wide road to destruction and a narrow road to life. But these people don’t read the Bible. Or pray. The veil remains over their minds. Their lack of faith disables their mind to comprehend that Jesus is the narrow gate.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

Praying in Jesus’ name means something. Talk about a powerful friend! Believing, lift praises and concerns to God our Father in the powerful name of Jesus.

Please pray that our public schools would not teach evolution. Students say if we’re evolved matter with no hope after death, what’s the point of living? Pray that our tax dollars would not be used to teach the evolution lie. Pray for the removal of other disturbing teachings in our public school system.

Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters across the globe. In some countries, Christians are considered enemies of the state and suffer under inhumane conditions for their faith. Remember them when you pray.

Please pray for our Christ-honoring pastors and that more would be supplied. Pulpits need to be filled, supported by a loving, meek church family. Pray for churches to know God’s Word in their hearts and believe in prayer. God is the Great Heart Transformer, not a conformer.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

Psalm 37:10-13

Enjoy now in your heart the abundance of promise of peace. May creation vividly remind you of Christ’s authority and eternal love for us. May autumn’s colorful trees of the field painted by the Painter of Eternity guide you to eternal gain through a life and heart filled with meekness.
